2012 Stewardship Forms
- Jan 12, 2012
We have put two forms online this year to help you as you commit your time and talents to God for 2012. We ask that you complete both form #1 and #2. Following the forms, you will find a letter from Pastor Steve McElroy concerning 2012 Covenant Commitments to Christ Church.
Form #1: Prayers, Presence, and Gifts Commitment
Click here to complete a covenant form to support Christ Church with your prayers, presence, and financial resources in 2012. You may complete it online and press "send" at the bottom of the form to email it directly to the church office. Only one form needs to be completed per family.
Form #2: Ministry Service Commitment
To covenant to serve the ministries of Christ Church in 2012, please use the Ministry Service Commitment Form found here. Use section I of the form to commit your time and talents to new ways of service in 2012. Use section II to list ministries and missions you will recommit to continue serving in 2012.
Each adult and youth in your household should complete this form separately. Once completed, press "send" at the bottom of the form to email it directly to the church office. If you have questions or need assistance with the online forms, please contact Deon Roach in the church office (969-8820).

Dear Family of Faith,
This is a wonderful time to be part of the life of Christ United Methodist Church! As the year 2011 comes to a close, our congregation has so much for which to be thankful. Through your faithfulness and God’s blessings, we celebrated the burning of the church mortgage this year, an amazing miracle in these difficult economic times. Your financial gifts and your service are the tools God uses to do His work in the world, and we look forward to what He will have us do in 2012 as we worship Him and seek, nurture, and send Christian disciples into the world. God has blessed Christ Church in more ways than we can count, and you are an important part of our life together and the future work we will do. As each church committee begins to plan for 2012, it is time to think about our financial support of programs for adults and children, new mission outreach projects, staff resources, and of course, the maintenance of our beautiful buildings.
The Finance Committee is working to keep our budget increases modest this year as we face the broader financial realities of our world. I know your church will remain one of your top priorities in these trying times. Your faithfulness to the cause of Christ has always been moving to me. Please plan to attend one of our inspiring brunch information sessions on Sunday, November 13 at 9:45 or 11:00 am in Ascension Hall. Or, enjoy a dinner information session in Ascension Hall on Wednesday, November 16 at 5:30 pm. RSVP online ). There is no charge for the meals.
We are asked as Christians to support our church through our prayers, our presence, our gifts, our witness, and our service. Please prayerfully consider your financial support for the coming year. Consider pledging at least the amount you pledged last year, and consider growing your commitment so that we can continue to do more for the sake of the Kingdom of God.
November 20 has been designated as Commitment Sunday. We ask that you complete and return the stewardship forms on or before that date. You can place your forms in the offering plate as an act of worship and a sign of your faith on November 20. If you are unable to be with us that day, you may mail them to the church office or submit them online. Thank you for your commitment and your prayers on behalf of Christ’s ministry through our church. Let us continue to “Count our Blessings” in 2012 and beyond.
Yours in Christ, Steve McElroy, Pastor
