Food for the Journey

  • Feb 8, 2010

For 5 consecutive Wednesday evenings during Lent, join your church family in Ascension Hall for a light supper from 5:30-6:30 pm followed by classes and activities for children and adults beginning at 6:30 pm.  Suggested donation for the meal is $5/person or $20/family, and reservations are required.  Click here to go to the online reservation form.

Two new Wednesday evening classes for adults will begin February 24:

  1. "A Closer Look Bible Study," led by Pastor Steve McElroy and Pastor Hannah McManus, will begin at 6:30 pm.  Get more out of worship by studying the scripture passages your pastors will be preaching on the following Sunday.  On February 24, we will discuss Philipians 3:17-4:1 and Luke 13:31-35.  Class meets in room1 of Building 105 (church office building).
  2. "The 5 Love Languages of Children," led by Rania Combs and Carol Ann Amico, will study Dr. Gary Chapman and Ross Campbell's book by the same name.  Are you expressing your love in a way your child understands? This study will help you discover your child's unique communication style, so you can better meet his/her deepest emotional needs. From quality time to physical touch, these five "love languages" hold the key to your child's development and success.  Class meets in room 2 of Building 105 (church office building).
