Christmas Bazaar NEWS

The Christmas Bazaar generated nearly $60,000 for missions in its first five years! Since 2004, we have raised $59,784, with 69% of that total (i.e., $41,373.59) going to ministries regularly supported by our congregation:
- Alamance/Orange Prison Ministry - $2,510.00
- Beyond our Borders (children of Londrina, Brazil) - $12,960.00
- Mission 1:27 (Slobodskoi orphanage) - $2,632.00
- Pastors' Fund - $2,414.00
- Mental Health Fund - $9,825.72
- Blankets for Children - $6,875.45
- Military Troop support - $400.00
- Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund - $2,046.75
- Kicks for Kids (soccer balls for Africa), - $850.00
- and more! $859.67
The remaining 31% of the total (i.e., $18,410.45) has gone to well-established ministries that have been able to sell their products at the Bazaar. These include:
- Beacon of Hope (relief for AIDS victims via Kenyan weavings) - $7,593.00
- Bead for Life (Ugandan-made jewelry to support women in poverty) - $732.00
- Heifer International (food producing animals for the poor) - $2,475.00
- Timothy Project (hand-made soap to support international medical trips for pre-med students), - $697.00
- Holyland Artisans, - $6,333.45
- and Women-For-Women International (micro-business support through jewelry and clothing.) - $580.00
